Siniša Cvetković

Contramestre Vento

founder and head trainer

Siniša is one of the founders and the head coach of the Capoeira Senzala school in Novi Sad. He began practicing capoeira in 2001 and has been a student of Mestre Steen from Copenhagen since the very beginning. After many years of practicing karate, in which he holds a black belt, as well as gymnastics and dance, he discovered capoeira—a discipline that combines all his interests and has become his life’s calling.

Together with Bojan Jung, he founded the club in 2009 with the idea of popularizing this art and physical activity in his city. In 2015, he started a capoeira group for children, marking the beginning of the club’s highly successful work with kids aged 7-10 years, and later expanding to other age groups.
He has studied capoeira in Brazil and regularly organizes and attends numerous capoeira seminars across Europe with his club members.
He actively trains capoeira, speaks Portuguese, and has an excellent understanding of Brazilian culture. Siniša is a master professor of physical education and sports works as a physical education teacher in an elementary school. In his free time, he studies percussion and other martial arts and is a passionate enthusiast of various outdoor activities.
